Penny Forward Inc is a young and growing nonprofit organization who envisions a world where blind people have the means to weather hard times, take advantage of rare opportunities, and generously support causes we deeply care about. Our mission is to help blind people build the knowledge to confidently navigate the complicated landscape of personal finance through education, mentoring, and mutual support. The Penny Forward Podcast is a bi-weekly show about blind people building bright futures one penny at a time. Producers Chris Peterson and Liz Bottner are blind people learning, from each other, to be successful in their personal, professional, and financial lives. Each episode teaches a lesson about one of the many ways to make, manage, and grow money through the personal experiences of an ordinary blind person or through the experience of an expert. Our target audience is blind people who are driven to succeed and open to learning from the examples of their peers. We want to build strong relationships with sponsors who feel, as we do, that blind people need affordable and accessible financial education that enables us to make informed decisions that lead to increased financial strength and security.

Because Penny Forward is a nonprofit organization who has applied for 501(C)(3) federal tax-exempt status, we’re required to treat sponsorships as donations, meaning that we may acknowledge a sponsorship on our web site, the Penny Forward podcast, or any other materials distributed by Penny Forward Inc, but our acknowledgment may not include advertising our sponsors’ products or services (including messages containing qualitative or comparative language, price information, or other indications of savings or value, an endorsement, or an inducement to purchase, sell, or use such products or services). Simply put, this means that we are able to publicly thank you for your sponsorship, describe your products and services in general terms, and provide general contact information such as a link to your web site or a general phone number, but we cannot print or say anything that would look like a recommendation to buy or use any of your products or services.
