Financial Sense¢: ABLE Accounts Q/A

Last month Congress passed an omnibus spending bill that, among other things, increased the eligibility age for ABLE accounts from 26 to 46. This makes many more blind or disabled Americans eligible to open an ABLE account. This month we’ll be answering your questions about ABLE accounts.

Chris Peterson has been an ABLE account owner since 2019, Liz Bottner opened her ABLE account in January, 2023, and Moe Carpenter is researching which ABLE program is best for her.
