At Penny Forward, a nonprofit organization founded and led by people with blindness and low vision, we believe that access to tailored financial education is not just a resource but a necessity that fosters independence and confidence. Unfortunately, mainstream financial counseling is often inaccessible and omits critical discussions of blindness-specific benefits and concerns, such as Social Security and ABLE accounts. This oversight leaves a significant gap in the financial education available to individuals with blindness or low vision.

Penny Forward addresses these deficits by providing financial literacy education,  specifically tailored to the blind and low vision community, delivered by counselors who are also blind. This unique approach ensures that our services are not only accessible but also empowering through peer support.
